The Waters Tours in Iguassu Falls

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR:

Worldwide known as being the paradise of waters and home to one of the most exhilarating spectacles on Earth, the exuberant Iguazu Falls, the city of Foz do Iguazu offers several tours filled with emotions and beauty. One of these extraordinary tours is the Waters Tours.

The adventure starts off on the Parana River, river which limits the borders between Brazil and Paraguay, setting off from the Maringa Club, where the tourists get on board the Yacht Explorer. A yacht which can carry 40 passengers, it has an American bar, open deck, solarium and an air conditioned VIP room. The Explorer is certainly the best choice for those wanting to sail with comfort and tranquillity.

Following the course of the Parana River , which is mostly used by fishermen, where you can find the most popular species of fish such as the ‘Dourado’ , passengers will enjoy practically 40 minutes of an exciting trip appreciating the most important sites of Foz do Iguazu like the Tancredo Neves Bridge, known as the Fraternity Bridge, which connects Brazil and Argentina. Passengers will also enjoy the view of the Americas Space, an architectonic work designed for the important events of the city as well as the Three Landmarks, obelisks representing the territorial limits of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

After all these attractions it is time to get to know the Bertoni Museum. It hosts the history of the life of a Swiss who eradicated in this region of Paraguay to research and learn about the culture of the indigenous Guaranies. Mosies Bertoni was an ideologist who helped an awful lot the local community and the Paraguayan government. During the tour, a bilingual guide provides an account the life of Bertoni as well as information about the local fauna and flora.

The place is a temple to the life and work of this Swiss scientist. The structure of the house where Bertoni lived with his family was kept in its originality, being made only a few restorations. Inside the house the guide will show some of Bretoni’s scientific breakthrough.

At the end of this tour is possible to visit the cemetery of the Bertoni Family, as well as get to see some of the handicrafts sold by a local indigenous tribe.
